Semi-DIY Mask at Home

Quarantine has us all thinking about ways to improve our self care, from baths to serums, to masks! With that in mind, we’ve started carrying a skincare and bath line called Oxalis (made locally here in New Orleans), with all products being 100% natural, enriched with premium plant based oils, herbs and minerals, and ethically sourced ingredients. I’ve been testing out their products daily all week, and am officially on the bandwagon (the Facial Serum is insanely good for glow- but more on later)!

Two days ago I tried out the Wildflower Clay Mask and it left my skin baby bottom smooth-amazing! The great thing about this mask is that it doesn’t come readymade and creamy- it comes in powder form to allow you to add ingredients specific to your skin’s needs and customize it yourself! My skin is dry, so I chose to add honey to the mixture for moisture- but you can add olive oil, yogurt, or aloe, to name a few! Here are the steps I took for my mask:

What you’ll need:

Wildflower Clay Mask

Small bowl for mixing ingredients

Spoon for mixing

Honey (or your choice of ingredient- olive oil, yogurt, aloe, etc)

Step 1:

Add a spoonful of the Wildflower Clay Mask to your bowl

Step 2:

Add Honey, or your choice of DIY ingredient (this step is optional, so you can skip this step if you want to only use the Clay Mask’s ingredients- French Green Clay to detox!)

Step 3:

Add a small amount of water to your mixture and mix mix mix until the consistency is smooth and creamy.

Last steps:

Apply to face. As always- spot test on a small area of your face before applying all over! Wait for the mask to dry, and then rinse off with water or a damp washcloth.

Left my skin soft, baby bottom smooth afterwards! Can’t wait to see which DIY masks you all come up with while at home during quarantine!
