What a year this month has been. Truly the strangest, most mind boggling experience most of us have ever faced. Especially in a city known for being social, for being out and about, with interaction as our lifestyle. And now it stops. Completely. For another month.
It got me thinking- as a boutique owner, I’m always trying to provide the most fashion forward, current trends for our customers to wear to their next event. But, as our Netflix queue shows, we don’t exactly have events going on right now... Of course, events will come back, probably with even more force, excitement and bravado than before (who else is ready for 10 Girls Night Outs asap?), but for now, we’re concentrating on other things. We’re running a little slower, taking a longer breakfast, actually making time for that bubble bath, learning a new recipe, gardening. We’re doing different things in a completely new, calmer way.
And that’s ok.
During these uncertain times, I really believe there is something greater, something we can learn from eachother, that connects us, to better ourselves. Something that not only looks good, but also feels good as a whole. Makes us feel calm, at peace, comfortable, energetic, happy. And i don’t think i’m alone in needing this right about now.
With this in mind, i’ve decided to create an extension of Cella’s - called Cella’s Lifestyle. After all, this is a new lifestyle we’re all living through right now. It will include easy, wearable pieces with comfort in mind; self care products to help us wind down at the end of the day; interviews with local women about how they’re reacting and making the best of quarantine, what their daily routines have become. All with this new lifestyle in mind.
In addition to our boutique clothing that we’re known for, we will be adding fresh new Lifestyle product categories throughout the next few weeks, starting today with our breathable linen. You can find our new Lifestyle products under the Lifestyle tab on our website; interviews and thoughts will be on our Blog tab.
We will of course continue to feature our Cella’s clothing, as we’ve always done, what we’re known for, our core. Because after all, there WILL be events after all this is over. But we have felt a real need to create this new extension, as so much continues to change around us, as our community requires something different from us. We’re truly excited to connect with you in this new way. So let’s collaborate, learn from each other, and strive to be our best selves to get through this crazy situation we’re all in. Together (virtually), we’ve got this.
Sending all my positivity and love,
Marcella “Cella” Peraza
